Thats the difference between Amtrak and commuter rail. Same all over the country.The LA commuter rail runs on the same tracks as Amtrak, but leases track time to Amtrak, as Metrolink owns the track. Also, metrolink gets a lot more subsidy from the Joint Powers. Lets face it Amtrak is history.
