Kent Cooper, assistant director-planning for the Nevada Department of Transportation, said his agency would be "very disappointed" if the proposed rail service fails to materialize.
"We'd like to have every available option for travelers because not everyone can afford a plane ticket or to own an automobile," Cooper said. "Without a rail option, it's just going to move more people into (passenger) vehicles that will crowd our already clogged highway systems."
Maybe these people should not go to Las Vegas if they can not afford a plane ticket or car.
