I am the author of the definition of "Obsolete" on the Club's glossary. The definition was written specifically for the perspective of collectors. I deemed that a casino collectible is "obsolete" if it is no longer available from the original source. For collectors, that means that the only way they can get the chip is from a secondary source, either through trade or purchase. I understand that the definition is not perfect and I can sight circumstances where the definition falls short. But I thought I would put it out there to see if anyone had any improvements.
