I have a couple of really weird casino items. Please see the pic below. The “drumstick” is about 7 ˝” in length. Marked on the stick is: “Drum Up A Good Time At / El Rancho Vegas / Las Vegas Nevada”. I also have one from the Sands Hotel. Does anyone have any idea what these were used for? Some type of give-away, no doubt, but for what purpose? Has anyone ever seen a toy drum from a casino?
The “hanger” is about 3 ˝” in length. It’s not a toy. I think I know what it is, but my guess is so… out there, that I embarrassed to say. I found it in a small plastic box, marked from the Sahara Tahoe, with some other complimentary stuff that hotels provide for their guests. A shoeshine sponge, a removable & reusable bottle cap, a sewing kit (all from the Sahara Tahoe), and a rain bonnet from the El Cortez Hotel & Casino in LV. All this stuff appears to be from the 50's to the 70's. By the way, does anyone really collect these sewing kits?
