When I first saw this eBay listing I emailed the person and asked how he had attributed these chip to Mississippi, especially since The Chip Rack attributed them to California. His reply follows.

These chips were used at "The Rising Sun" establishment in the Rising Sun community just south of Greenwood, Leflore Co. Mississippi. It was run by a (still) prominent family of the area that had other "ventures" in bootlegging, etc. The club was in operation until the late1950s (give or take) and was burned down. I got the chips in an old seed trunk I bought from a relative of this family, it also included a flat of crystalizing, ca. 1940 "Cotton Club" dice from a New Orleans club that did not make it.

I find it strange that Eastman's book doesn't mention these, especially if they actually are from California.
