Before finding the Chipboard, I used to visit a different bulletin board (not chips). It was registered users only, no "for sale" items, no "off topic" comments...or the moderator would remove them.
Because of all the restrictions, there was also very little activity. It was like a soap opera...tune in once every week or two, and you could keep up with it.
The Chipboard, on the other hand, is like an action-packed adventure! You never know what the next "plot twist" will be!
Scott Whoever-you-are, I hope you enjoy your new endeavor (On your board do you have to use your last name?), but I'll take the Chipboard with all its characters and its off topic discussions (you just never know where a thread will end up! ).
As for The Rat, there are people who won't provide information if they can't be anonymous. Sometimes the information is more important than the source. There are a lot of intelligent people on this board. Just because The Rat posts a name, doesn't mean that everyone believes it. For example...The Rat posted Gene's name. Gene came on the board and explained that his name was on a list of customers, and why. That made sense, and I doubt that anyone believes that Gene is passing (fake) brass core chips. The Rat also posted Walt Gonski's name (sp?). Walt came out blustering and bellowing and threatening...why? Because that's the type of guy he is?...or??? It probably isn't "fair" for The Rat to post names....but IF Walt Gonski IS selling fake chips as real, I'm glad that SOMEONE warned the chippers!
