I'm currently reading a book called "The Players: The Men Who Made Las Vegas" (ed. Jack Sheehan). I'm enjoying it. It is a series of essays written by various authors about some of the more influential or colorful people who have owned, built or otherwise influenced casinos and their operations in Las Vegas. Might be worth a look!
