Fake or not, I have a few of them myself. When I bid on them on eBay I placed low enough bids and let the hysteria over them win out. I wasn't about to be a total sucker on them and get caught in an irrational bidding war. I just kept trying on the few that I thought were humorous and eventually got about 5 of them at what I felt were fair prices.
I do not know if we are talking of the same chips but the ones I bought were on the NEVADA Mold and looked to have artwork that was printed on a computer and attached(stickers) to the chips. The stickers were not of exceptionally cheap quality. Some actually did look reasonable but they were clearly stickers. Out of a number of them I have seen, I only consider about 5 or 6 of them to be resonably worth their value as conversation pieces. They are not worth much more than that. I don't know that I would consider them as serious collectables or worth a lot.
Of course, when I purchased mine, I bid with skepticism and a certain suspicion that they were not legit and thus am, overall, happy with what I got. I feel sorry for those who outbid my 4 or $5 bids taking the bidding to $15 or even over $20 in a couple cases. I think all my bids were below $8 or $10. I think Chicken Ranch was my most expensive. That may have had to do with the dominance of the name more than anything else.
Lastly, I do not recognize the name of the seller so I am not sure of his chips. I bought mine from someone else about 2 or 3 years ago. Can't remember the name but reading this I might have to check back through my email caches and backups and find out who and how much I paid.
