Doug, If this token has "$100 Gaming Token" on it, it could in fact be a regular slot machine token. It could be the one that had gaming approval 4-14-89 with description "24 KT gold inlay" on approval list. This would be when Sands reverted back from being MGM Sands.
Since I have no picture of the $100 token it is hard to tell because your wording does not match the wording on my $25 token, but nothing says they have to be the same.
If it is embedded in lucite plastic as a "souvenir" Don L's guess at $5-$10 is probably correct. If it is just a plastic capsule and can be removed, Pricing from an unofficial guide would be: circulated condition:$110, AU:$125 & Uncirculated $150.
Listing this as a "SPT" (Silver Premium Token) or Silver Strike as I prefer to call them is incorrect. There is not nor never has been a $100 Silver Strike token. The one or two that have been listed on the approval list as Silver Strikes have been in error. These are regular $100 slot machine tokens.
Sincerely,
Janice O'Neal
