I suppose that Archie is probably saying is, that although there is an obvious error on the chip, if a corrected version isn't made and released it's just a chip, not an error chip.

Similiar to the Blue's Brother's Silver Premium Gaming Token from the Flamingo Hilton Reno. I've posted a picture of it here.

The word "LIMITED" is mispelled "LIMITIED". This token was never corrected, so all of the tokens have the mispelling.

But with the Las Vegas Circus Circus Grand Slam token the mistake of using the Reno Clown Icon was found and corrected, so an error token does exist along with the corrected version.
