Found out today that I will have to be in Colorado convention week to participate in the criminal trial of a former employee charged with embezzling $250,000 from our company.

I will be flying to Denver on Wednesday, June 5th, and will be involved in the trial on the 6th and possibly the 7th. In any event, I doubt that I'll be able to return to California until Friday the 7th, perhaps late in the day or evening.

That being the case, Glenda and I decided tonight that it just wouldn't make sense to try to get to Vegas just for Saturday, so I almost certainly will not be coming to the convention at all.

There is a small chance that something will happen to get me out of this, but the assigned DA told me today that he thinks the case will go to trial as scheduled.

I'm really bummed about missing the poker tournament (which I have already entered).
