I was warned not to remove it since it (the grade) would be questioned unless it was re-graded and then it could be lower.

Is the only person that can assign a number the grader? and Why can't he be consistant. If it makes price differance wouldn't this be important? Is there too many grades to be able to do what they call in laboratories as 'repeatability'?

Seems like a false sense of security for the buyer, but I don't understand buying 'uglier' coins for 50 times more money either.
