I don't think anyone answered you real questions. The should be no concern about getting into the casino. Legally the union members can not stop you from entering and wouldn't try (other than maybe verbally). There may be dealers, patrons, etc. who WON'T cross the picket lines but that will be by their choice. Other than all of the sweaty people carring placards in front of the casinos the average traveller won't even know that there is a strike. The service may be a little slow but that is about all of the effects I would expect to see. The convention will go on.
