Pete -- Show me a case where the American Trial Lawyers ever actually supported meaningful Tort reform or limitation of liability in the area of malpractice & I'll blame the doctors. When doctors have to pay $300,000-$400,000 per year just for malpractice insurance, it strikes me they have to charge a lot. It is the legal profession that has convinced the public that "someone has to be to blame" & is therefore, liable. The ideas of personal responsibility & "accidents happen" are not in the vocabulary of many lawyers.
