Bob, it doesn't actually happen. I had surgery at a time that I was unemployed, with no money no insurance, and not even eligible for medicaid (that is our government paid insurance for the poor). The surgery was performed, I received the necessary care.

To this date I have never actually met a person who was unable to get necessary medical attention due to lack of money.
