What was missing from the story is, what do they actually plan to do with the casino and hotel?

The Palace Hotel has been a Cripple Creek family owned and run fixture for many years (long before gaming came to town.) The portion of the property that exists as parking is limited to maybe 40 cars max. If Century bought the property for parking spaces, they paid too much if they don't intend on leveling the hotel/casino. ...come to think of it, they paid too much even if they turn all of the property into a parking lot!

This isn't a slam against the Palace on my part, they did and always have operated within the original concept of mining town gaming in Colorado. ...small, friendly, historic...
