Perhaps you haven't read Doug Cundiff's post concerning the UAW convention in Vegas at the MGM. An off limits list for members that consists of non-union properties? That is looking out for your fellow man how???

Dictating or attempting to dictate where and how someone spends their own time and money moves the institution of labor unions from the status of a group of people concerned aboout all workers into a group of people wishing to have complete control over their members. It's not unlike a clut or religion! ...and from reading some of the posts on this BB, some folks don't have a problem blindly following....
