The ebay seller is now showing a scan of the card ... but alas, I don't think that it is the early card that she describes was in use when the casino first opened.
In fact, when the casino first opened in May, 1978 there was no such thing as a slot card.
I believe the first slot card to be issued at Resorts was years later during Merv Griffin's ownership of the casino. It was a light blue card that said "Merv Griffin's International Passport" at the top and the Resorts logo at the lower left. At the lower right is the Paradise Island Resort & Casino logo ... which was also owned by Griffin at the time.
I believe the card the seller is showing was in use AFTER Merv sold the casino to Sol Kirschner and Sol removed Merv Griffin's name from this newer version of this similar looking card.
Sorry, but my computer still will not allow me to scan so I'm unable to provide an image of the International Passport card. Maybe someone else has one to share on this bb?
