And now he's no better than the 2nd best announcer, behind Vin Scully.

The thing that sets Scully apart from all of the others (including Harry Carey, who WAS a great announcer) is that he is not a homer. He tells it like it is, no matter what's happening (even if that means saying bad things about the Dodgers).

As for being a secret Yankee fan, not a chance. Went to see them play a few times in person (my Dad was, after all, a Yankee fan) -- got to see one of the best teams of all times (the Yankees of the '50's), including Mickey Mantle (who, by the way, was no better than the 2nd best centerfielder in New York at the time behind Willie Mays).

Nevertheless, the only team I like less than the Yankees is the Giants, who still haven't won a World Series in California!!

I used to respect the Yankees for their talent, but George Steinbrenner even killed that.

BTW, Charles, if Rizzuto is so great, how come you can't even spell his name correctly!!
