... baseball announcer EVER. I was also listening to the Dodger game the night Haddix pitched his perfect game (and I don't give a damn what the "rules" are -- as far as I'm concerned, it was the greatest single game pitching performance ever). I agree, a great memory.
I also still have the photos my Dad took when we saw Carl Erskine pitch a no-hitter against the Giants at Ebbets Field in 1956. My grandfather was big time Dodger fan and he and my Dad (who was actually a Yankee fan) took me to a lot of Dodger games during the years 1952-57.
