You do have more of this shaped ashtray than me. Sorry but I will have to keep my Club Bingo that was dug up at the old dump in Vegas. Luckily near perfect. One small rust spot.
I would like to see a post of the Rex with the other great matches.
I picked up a nice round amber glass The COffee Cup Cafe, Home of Good Food, 558 Nevada Hwy. Bouder City, Nevada. I would hope they did not have "bad" food. No gaming here but a nice old one.
A book is in the works on casino china. Not by me. I would like to see an ashtray book. You could write one! Don't you want to be an author? Let me give you an idea of money you can make. My last royalty check was $109 for 323 books. My partner got the same. We have now sold about 2,500 to date. The publisher said that is great but we need to sell for one more year before they would want to produce another. I will see if I want to spend the time for another. It is a never ending project. I am still tracking prices & adding new finds to all my notes. It is a labor of love for sure & we all love our hobbies!
Come to Vegas & you can take digital pictures of my ashtrays. All 1,000 would take about a month or so at 10 to 12 hours a day. This is if it is comparible to chip pictures that we have 6,000 of on disks now. When you are done with ashtrays we can do mathces, then plates, swizzle sticks, glasses, slot glass, casino cubes of sugar, & bars of soap. And about 500 other paper category items from Keno tickets to Postcards. We could be done by year 2,050 if we get going today.
Of course prices will be put in at the end for about another month. That to me is the easy part. And by 2,050 every little item will be $1,000. And a good Sahara ashtray should be $10,000 plus like a good Sahara early issue chip.
Take Care & have a blast hunting & collecting in the mean time!
