Hi Murph,
Yup, I agree the El Morocco is from Las Vegas. I got ours "in person" in ummm....1981, I think (first trip to Vegas, and I picked up about a dozen different ashtrays as souvenirs--Never dreamed that about 10-12 years later I'd start collecting them! ). The El Morocco was a small casino/motel across from the Stardust, next to Silver City...also home of Jack Dennisons Copper Cart restaurant. Open 1972-1983. Black jack and slots.
MGM...I NEEEEEEEEED it!!! I've never seen it!! Where'd you find it? How much? nosey, aren't I? Basically there's 2 round styles of MGM, with the brownish logo and clear glass (oops make that 3). There's a triangle with the same logo as yours, but it's from Reno instead of Vegas. There's a green glass "flared" that has the lion embossed in the bottom.
The Barbary coast and Caesars are pretty common. (But not as common as the Golden Nugget, or the Caesars with the white grecian figures on the blue/gray background! )
