This person was the winning bidder on my eBay auction# 1084066703, closing 03/22/02. A link to this auction is below.
Curious that my auction was also for a Dunes chip.
At the close of the auction I sent the winning bidder my standard email with my payment instructions. A few days later I received a reply complaining about "computer problems." I have since emailed twice more and have not received any reply. I have noted, by viewing the bidder's feedback, that he/she has completed other eBay transactions after the ending date of my auction.
I used the eBay feature to get information about a bidder. Here's what I have: vegaschips1 is Cynthia M. Johnson, Atlas Painting Corp., Bentlyville, PA. I also noted a feedback comment for this bidder that read, "Thanks Jim." This leads me to believe vegaschips1 may be a boyfriend, child, or husband of Ms. Johnson.
I intend to email one more time and if no response if received: #1 Follow up with an old fashioned letter to Ms. Johnson demanding payment, and #2 File a complaint with eBay.
The amount of the winning bid was $152.50. Not the end of the world, but a significant amount of money to me.
Randy and others, if you have been burned by this person, and I can be of any help, please contact me.
