BUT...."laid end to end and side to side" doesn't "Cover" the area....there's open places between the curves.
I'm NOT gonna do any math to try and figure it out....but it seems to me there's 3 alternatives:
1..grind up the chips and spread em over the field (or melt 'em in the case of PSMC's).
2..do 2 layers of chips, so the gaps are covered
Anyone want to donate their collections so we can test these theories? No? Well then....
