Peter- Are you suggesting there has been no wrongdoing? All I am saying is that possibly Law Enforcement may have more success in gaining leads into who is selling an obvious product that was produced to defraud a potential buyer somewhere along the line ... and let's start with the self-confessed creator of that product.
Obviously there are some folks who do not wish to participate in the club's investigation who know more than what they are telling.... but may be more receptive to opening up if questioned by a trained detective who can offer them "alternatives".
If there is no case, there is no case, but to suggest that no law has been violated is a bit of a stretch in my uneducated opinion. I'll admit that I'm unfamiliar with the legality of proving "fraud", but that term comes readily to mind in my layman's opinion.
