I also found Doc Myers' words to sum up the bulk of my feelings after reading the volumous mudslinging posts. I was, in the beginning, and still remain, appalled at the negativity expressed towards the online community in the original announcement. I hope the author of that poorly placed criticism understands WHY it's a bad attitude, and not just simply bowed to the pressure.
However, the rapid escalation of hostility made it difficult to say anything meaningful. I have very little to add anyhow, other than to add my thanks to Jim Reilly for the many volunteer hours he has spent researching this matter. I think ALL of the volunteers who give of their time and energy in service to our hobby deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, whether we agree with their decisions or not. This includes my good friend and our club membership officer, Ralph Myers. I am sick and tired of the incessant bashing he must endure by a couple of regular posters. This childish "I didn't get my way so I'm going to make trouble" behavior is as destructive to this hobby as anything any slabber could ever do. Please grow up, Mr. T.
