From the item at CCGTCC.com:

Chips from the Ranch House were apparently re-made because they were fire damaged.

Curiously neither TCR or Campiglia/Wells mentions "fire damaged" Ranch House PMSC chips. Only VGD listed in TCR and C/W usually has a note about this sort of thing. Has anyone ever seen these damaged chips? If the $1 chips were "remade", how come the switch from the listed I-value blue to a white chip as stated in the release?

A note on Ranch House values. The Herz guide, A Collector's Guide To Nevada Gaming Checks & Chips lists these brass core values in 1995:

• 50¢ dk grn $5-$10
• 50¢ grn $5-$10
• $1 blue $5-$10
• $5 red $10-$20

  Looking at the prices in Howard and Kregg's guide it seems to me that some chips available in 1995 (not just PMSC) have dissappeared into collections in some cases with a drastic effect on todays prices. Someone acquiring a supply of brass cores not so long ago could afford to start altering cores and chips originally bought at bargain prices.
