I could agree that the examples you list are more in line with "repairing" rather than "counterfeiting", but I thought I read in a previous post that someone replaced the plastic to hide the "drilled" cancellation feature. This, in my opinion, is not repairing but clearly attempting to pass off a "cancelled' chip as a "non-cancelled" chip which has a major influence on the value of the chip.
