Don; I was not aware of this flat rate until today, so I thought I would pass it along. I've been using Priority Envelopes that I have stored at home.... which I since have gotten rid of.
The point the window clerk made was that the mailer MUST use the proper envelope to get the flat rate. If that package you received with five pounds of tokens in it was not in the flat rate envelope .... the postage would have been considerably higher because anything over 2 pounds would be charged higher than the $3.95 2-pound rate. The Priority envelope must be the one that says "FLAT RATE" on it to get the best deal.
