Many people have misunderstood what I was trying to say, so I am going to try to put it in other words.

The chip shown below is an error chip. The regular $5.00 chips are yellow. The regular $0.50¢ chips are red. This is a $5.00 denominational chip printed on a red $0.50¢ chip. Ergo, the error.
