I have always wanted to go to Jim Munding's Casinorama Show, but it was always tough to justify traveling across the country from Delaware for a "one day show" even if I am retired. But if I can stretch the trip into 2 weeks and 2 shows I would be more likely to make the trip, but mt circumstances are rather unique. On the other hand, I can appreciate what Jimmy Munding means by "conflict". A lot of dealers and customers(members) may now have to choose whether to go to his Show or the Reno Show were before they all would probably go to the Casinorama since it was the only Show set in that time frame. The Chinook Winds Show and the Chicago Show are so far apart geographically that the closeness of the dates is not a major factor. I'm sure there will be two different sets of dealers setting up for these two shows and also two different sets of customers(members). I doubt if any or very few of the same dealers will do the Chicago Show that were at the Chinook Winds Show. All of this brings me to my point - With all the different Shows now being scheduled, almost on a monthly basis, I feel there should be some coordinated effort by the National Club to set out some type of schedule of shows to afford the optimum dealer and member participation. Having said this, I know this a free country and everybody can do want they want, but I still feel there should be some type of coordination in planning shows. This hobby is not big enough to properly support a Show a week in every State like coin collecting does. Let's have quality well planned, well timed and well attended Shows and not just Shows that are "Well intended but not well attended". Just my thoughts.
