Not that John Yee needs me or anyone else to defend him but any thought (by anyone) that John helped get "extra" HR chips for special people is totally off base.
I am fortunate to call John a friend and you can't imagine the work he put into the Convention last year. Including but not limited to being the sole person responsible for getting the HR chip done, printing the banquet tickets, working on the program, soliciting ads, helping stuff registration packages, even helping with clean up and setup. All this in addition to the work he does as magazine editor.
I can tell you that as Convention Chirman last year I had several volunteers who worked almost full time for 2-3 days but because they hadn't pre-registered I asked John if I could get them a HR chip to say thank you. John couldn't even get me 2 or 3 extras for some well deserving volunteers. No one in the Club played any games with the HR chips.
It is great that we have a few people like John who are willing to give so much to the Club. Thanks.
