Maybe I'm missing something here, but it seems to me that there's a vast difference between what Gene's example is, and a dealer saying "none of your business."

In Gene's example, Chipper X is a liar. He's also committed fraud.

A dealer who says "none of your business" is neither a liar nor a fraud. He hasn't imparted any information, but he hasn't pretended to either!
