Tony Cornero did himself a favor by pitching forward on that DI crap table. He had WAY oversubscribed shares in the Stardust to several different mobs. Cleveland had the biggest piece so Moe Daliz was the natural selection to step in and finish building it. Moe went on to be called "The Father Of Las Vegas." He built hospitals, golf courses, etc. His last building project was The Sundance now called Fitzgeralds. Moe was finally turned down for a gambling license (after holding one for 40 years at some of the biggest casinos in LV) at The Sundance because of his questionable background. I guess he neglected to mention that he was also :The Father of N.KY, S.OH Gambling" also.

BTW Roy, Moe Daliz was the man that authorized funding of The Arrowhead Inn for the Nasons in the early 30's. I believe it was Clevelands 1st foray into the Tri-State gambling scene. Prohibition had just ended and Cleveland was looking for new ways to make money. The Nasons were ex-bootlegers and also looking. Sammy Schrader put them together and made it happen. Sammy had just saved Harold Nasons skin after he had killed a member of Detroits Purple Gang while hijacking a caravan of whisky trucks in Hazzard KY.

Tony Cornero was the man that changed the name of the casino under the Apache Hotel to the SS Rex. Which has spawned several long threads above.
