The cleanest way to do it requires that your server be running a database program of some sort and program that will interface with the database.

I use MySQL and PHP both of which are available for free. If one of you has access to a server running these it would be very simple to create a webpage that did what you requested.

If you do have access to MySQL and PHP I recommend Essential PHP FOR WEB PROFESSIONALS by Cosentino. its a simple book with lots of examples in it.
