"Many very rare older illegal chips only exist in "worn or poor" condition with cigarette burns, etc. but these rare and desirable chips are termed as "damaged" or "generally unacceptable for most collections" by the Official Descrptions. I think most illegal collectors would disagree with this inferance. What do you think ??? Jerry B.
What do I think? I don't think that collectors of illegal chips represent "MOST COLLECTORS".
I also think (and probably MOST COLLECTORS think) that any chip with a cigarette burn IS DAMAGED.
By contrast, the same chip without a cigarette burn (if one exists) definitely IS NOT damaged. I hope that we are not going to get hung up on what the word IS means ... like our former President.
I'll concede that the term "generally unacceptable for most collections" is probably too harsh a phrase when used in the context you have put it in. Hopefully the final draft (if we ever get to that point) will modify that somewhat.
But on the other hand..., "MOST COLLECTORS" probably would pass on a chip with a cigarette burn ....
