I appreciate your thoughts. My reason for this one being private is that the last time I ran an auction for a higher end chip (a $500 Aladdin Bacarrat, if you may recall) I had a fellow chipper (whom I know and trust and who had bid during the auction) email me after the auction and share that he had been approached by TWO other fellow chippers with offers of high end chips.

I am in the process of selling off some higher end chips from my own collection and want to offer them directly to those who bid. I think running the auction gives me that right but a few have spoiled it for others, at least as far as my opinion goes.

There are many excellent "chippers" on this board, you included, but I think you would be surprised at a few "poachers.
