There are some good reasons for changing an Ebay ID. I'm about to change mine. My Ebay ID is my email address. I'm changing ISP & email addresses so I do not want the confusion of having an old email address as an Ebay ID. I will not use an email address as an ID again. Note, I am not defending the seller in this auction or saying that is why the ID was changed in this case. Just pointing out a valid reason for changing an ID. Also, I believe feedback ratings are retained when an ID is changed
