Re: "A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME IS STILL A ROSE"

Ron- It seems to me that a similar discussion was had on this bulletin board last year regarding "millennium". Lots of chippers considered any chip with Happy New Year 2000 (or 2001 by others) to be millennium chips ... even if the word "millennium" did not appear on the chip.

I also think that many collectors of Kentucky Derby memorabilia (maybe not you) would consider Tropicana's TRO-5m horse and rider chip that was issued with the date May 2, 1998 ... (the day of "the race") ... to be a Kentucky Derby issue... and TRO-5i, with the inscription, "Pro Football's 75th Anniversary" that was issued around Super Bowl 1998 are considered by SOME SuperBowl fans as being a SuperBowl issue ... even though it does not say so.

Atlantic City's Hard Rock Cafe issues very popular "pageant pins" each year around Miss America week ... and virtually every Hard Rock pin collector refers to them as "Miss America pins" even though they don't specifically say so.
