Gee, folks, I am really sorry that I ever came across those issues of Chip Chat. What was intended as a friendly effort to get these journals into the hands of someone who could use them and to acquire room key(s) in exchange has turned into a very unpleasant experience.

The drawing scheme was meant to give everyone an equal chance regardless of what they could offer in return and although it was put forth after the initial announcement, there was no intention of making things difficult for you or more remunerative for us.

The word "weird" was meant to be a bit of self-deprecating humor but obviously struck a responsive chord.

Oh, well, the drawing will be held tomorrow and I will notify the winner.

Finally, my wife and I will be in Vegas during June and may visit the Convention (we are in the proccess of joining CC>CC) and if you do see us, I hope you be kind enough not to make any reference to this incident.

The Chip Chat offer was my first appearance on the Board and I had hoped it would be a pleasant one but it has not so turned out owing to my ill-conceived attempt at humor and an ill-designed attempt at fairness.

You all seem like a great bunch of guys and gals and I may continue to post messages or answer or comment on those posted by others.

If you can, please wipe this "incident" from your minds and let me start over with a clean slate.
