As was stated in a previous post the U.K. casinos do require a membership fee which in London the lowest membership fee that I've paid was £10 and that was for a casino that had low stake games (i.e. £5 to £1,000 tables) and the highest membership fee that I've seen but I didn't paid because I could probably never afford it! was from £500 and up for casinos that had high stake games (i.e. £5,000 to £10,000 and up tables) the kind of casinos you see the James Bond movies.
One word of advice, Before you go to the casino and apply for a membership first check to see if that casino has an Internet website! because in most cases if you apply for casino membership online most of the casino like London Clubs International (www.clublci.com) will completely waive the membership fee altogether when you apply online. Please remember that not all the casino will waive the membership fee this applies true especially to the high-end casinos and again at most (and I stress most) casino membership is usually lifetime so you paid once for membership in each casino that you want to join and that's you the next time your there the only money that you will have to give them is at the tables. Please also remember that under U.K. law there is a 24 hour waiting period before your membership goes into effect. The last time I was in London I was told that members of Parliament are trying to abolish this law.
