I thought for sure that with all of the chips, dice, tokens and what have you, that my bag would have been searched as well while leaving Vegas. I was fully prepared for it, but I breezed right through.

On the flipside, though, my bag was checked leaving California because of a metal flashlight that was next to the digital camera and they couldn't tell for sure what that particular combination was. So, when I left Vegas, I put the flashlight in one bag and the camera in another.

My guess is that these searches often occur because of how items are packed.
