Why is it that you need a firewall? What could happen if I do not have one?
When I got Cable Modem access, it was suggested to me that I get a firewall program. Zone Labs was suggested and I got that and as far as I know it is working well (which means it is working well). When I first loaded it, I had it set to show how many hits I was getting. It was so many that I shut off the notification of hits.
Recently I have found that it is slowing down some operations. Why is it that you need a firewall? What could happen if I do not have one?
