Below is a brief discription of the background of the casinos of which I scanned the chips below.

I just rewrote what Garry Baldie gave me in Russia. Personally, I found it to be very interesting.

1- "Casino Studio is a small casino, part of the Golden Palace Group. The $10.00 chips with the words "Global Casino" are actually "Lucky" entrance chips into the Studio Casino. They have no circulation so they are very rare. I'm blacklisted in Studio so it can be problematic to collect more chips there in the future."

2- Casino Zebra and Casino Luxor (Penza Russia.) "Penza is a medium sized city located about 800 Km from Moscow. They do have a lot of casinos but all are very small. You can be the only visitor, so it's really hard to "steal" the chips because pit bosses do not like that. Current exchange rate is 1USD = 30.5 Roubles.

3- Casino Mizar (Maaup on chip). "Small casino quite far from the center of Moscow. Mizar [Mee'tzar] is actually the name of the star in Big Bear. Smaller denominations of the chips ($1.00) do not have any letters on them and do not have any pictures." Probably similar to your hot stamped chips.

4. Casino University. "As you can guess, University Casino is located near Moscow State University. this is a very small casino with only a few tables. They are strongly suspecting the players cheating at balckjack."

5. Casino Metropol. "Small but luxury casino in teh very center of Moscow. High roller place. Rarely there are players who bet less that $100.00 per hand at blackjack. USA management."

6- Casino Sol. "Relatively new casino here. They/re in big financial trouble right now. therre are rumors that the Golden Palace group is planning to buy SOL. Mopre rumors: they have Turkish management and they are simply laundering drug money."

7- Casino Inperia. "This casino is part of the Golden Palace group. Cozy atmosphere and a lot of people."

8.-Casino Marilyn. "Despite nice looking chips, that's a burn joint. Nothing interesting in casino except chip design."

9- Casino Golytzyn. "Pronounced like [go'leetzyn]. It's a name of a famous personof the 1914 civil war in Russia.

10- Casino Chateau Lyon. "It translates as Lion's Heart" for French. I'm blacklisted there so it's hard to collect more chips. But I can ask my friends."

11- Casino Cosmos. "One of the biggest and oldest casinos in Moscow. Located in the Casinos Hotel far from the center. They're known as the professional players society mostly by that they do NOT exclude professionals fromthe play. They have junket programs and they have the biggest poker club in Moscow. www.casino-cosmos.com/ Only Cosmos and Lilit have $10.00 chips."

12- Casino Lilit. "Formally known as Oasis Casino, Moscow's casino closest to the center of Moscow Casino. About 50 meters to the Red Square. but it issmall and do not have a lot of visitors. It's the chips with KA3 (N backwards) HO.

13- Casino Golden Palace. "Quite large and VERY popular. In Moscow, they have incredible good rules. Golden Palace is part of the biggest group of casino's in Russia;
