other dealers at your show, please let me say this......
Don't confuse John's comment about someone not making enough to cover expenses with being un-happy. Both do not have to go hand-in-hand. I think it would be putting John on the spot to ask him who was or was not happy, and if any dealer was un-happy, it would be a matter for the two of you. Let that dealer bring it up to you, don't ask John to tell.
As a non-dealer, I will say that I thought the show was well attended and I saw the chairs on both sides of the tables being used quite a bit! Although some more than others, but just the same, this was not billed as the Convention.
As an attendee I was made to feel welcome, and the dealers were not attacking me as I passed down the aisles. (On the otherhand, they sure went for my Grand Daughter!)
I know that not all the dealers made their expenses, HOWEVER, that does not necessarily mean that they lost out. It is quite possible, and very likely, that attending shows like yours is simply the cost of doing business. Keeping your name and presence familiar with the shopping community.
Who's to say that a non-sale, business card handout today, may not result in sale next week. Or for some, a contact that leads to an acquisition that then becomes a sale later on.
I had a good time, thank you.
