I also had a great time at the show. The 9+ hour drive didn't appeal to me, so I flew down Friday morning, then back on Friday evening. (Book ahead and flying Southwest CAN be cheaper than driving.... I just booked a flight for the convention in June - roundtrip: $68.00!!) My decision to attend Rene's show vs. Bill's was based on a few factors: First, I could not get a list of dealers for Bill's show. Even emailed him and he responded: "I do not publish my dealer list." (Is it some sort of secret??) Also, it's a shorter ride from the Vegas airport to the Palace Station. Final factor: While Superbowl crowds are probably good for show attendance, I didn't feel like dealing with longer airport & cab lines.

Hopefully enough people showed up over the 2-day period to satisfy Rene and the dealers. From an 'attendee' standpoint, I thought it was just great! There was enough time in one day to stop by every table. I picked up some great chips and spent time visiting with friends. Including the flights it was a LONG day, but fun!
