Hello to All!!!

I have been reading all of your posts for the last week or so and have learned a lot. While not new to collecting gambling & casino items, I just recently renewed my interest in collecting chips. I have joined CC>CC R-5487 and purchased price guides (Official U.S. by James Campiglia and the Chip Rack). Which one is the best?

I have some old slots, punchboards, slot glass and yes, even some old chips that I kept from prior visits to Las Vegas. There are just so many chips available that I am not quite sure yet....what I am going to concentrate on. I like the newer designs and all the LE's but am maybe more interested in collecting the Obsolete's of Las Vegas. I live in Michigan and also would like to collect all the chips from my home state. Actually, I would like to collect what I like (Hard Rock and such) and also collect chips that might increase in value (Vegas Obsolete's?).

I could use some suggestions on the best way to acquire them besides E-bay and the shows (I plan on attending the National in June). Has anyone had any luck running an ad in a local paper? I could also use suggestions on where to buy supplies and how most of you store your chips.

This is going to be a fun & exciting hobby and I look forward to meeting many of you.
