If I remember correctly The enabling legislation was tailored so only Rosemont fit the criteria. That in itself is in violation of IL law. So they assumed they could start building and nothing would be said. Please don't get me wrong Rosemont would be a great location for a riverboat. It's right next to O'Hare Airport. Huge Convention traffic. Here is the Kicker. Rosemont is a COMPANY town and the Mayor is the company. Rosemont has basicly 3 convention centers. Allstate arena, The Hotels, and The Stevens Convention Center. (I don't know about you but I am a little uneasy about naming a Convention center after a living and current Mayor).
Mayor Stevens says he won't have anything to do with Emerald Casino but He and his family will have plenty of benefits at the other 3 venues that he controls in the city if the Casino is built.
Now for the Flynns. They had a license and that is why I agreed in the beginning that they should be able to move it to a profitable location. After that I get confused also. I don't understand how they can turn a money losing venture into a 610 million sale. I think I will have to stop here as I don't recall enough of what I believe to be facts to continue.
