Jim; Numismatist is a coin collector; Philatelist is a stamp collector.... The word you are looking for to describe chip collectors which I've been using for some time now is, "Chipaholic"....<vbg>. Bob Orme; exonumia does not necessarily have to do with money.... it includes wooden nickels, tokens, medals, etc. which are struck by mints other than the U.S. government mints. Casino chips & gaming tokens used to fall under the broad category of "Exonumia".... until I'm pleased to say the club was successful in convincing ANA into creating our own exhibit classification and we were also successful in convincing hobby newspapers such as Coin World and Numismatic News to create our own separate classified section for gaming items. As for subway tokens... they fall under the category of transportation tokens and those collectors are called Vecturists. Archie
