Kevin,
The timelines just don't look right.
The receipt for the window is dated 01/05/02. On 01/06/02, Mark listed ten chips on eBay, nine of them slabbed. On 01/08/02, he posted his "start a freedom chapter note". When the eBay auctions resulted in a pretty dismal return at their close on 01/13/02, I think it finally hit him that he took the wrong road.
01/16/02, we get the "I give post" with this quote--"When I came into the store the other day and found a rock thrown through one of my windows with a slabbed chip attached I decided it was time to quit."
He decided to quit after his slabbed chips didn't sell well in the eBay auctions.
He posted here that he didn't call the "poloice". I can't find that number either. However, I posted the procedure concerning reaction by an alarm company when a glass-break sensor is breached. The police will show up because the alarm monitoring company will send them.
If Mark had been honest from the beginning, he might have received more sympathy and acceptance into this hobby. I don't feel that he is being honest about the recent reasons for his abandonment of slabbed chips. The defiant act of listing slabs after replacing the window speaks volumes to me.
